I traveled to Erie, Pennsylvania for the Eclipse on April 8, 2024. The path of totality went across the middle of Lake Erie, so anywhere within 50 or so miles would experience the effects of 100% totality. Clouds were a concern, so I hung back a bit from Erie and it turned out to be the best move because the clouds cleared from the start of the eclipse until about 30 minutes after totality ended.
